Olivier Contat is a French composer, pianist & recording producer, born the 29th of December, 1968. He started studying classical music at age 9 on piano, with France Rose (pianist for Swiss Romande radio), studied jazz piano with Bob Revel and arrangement with Pierre Drevet. At 13 he began to play synth in his first band (all styles from rock, French traditional songs to pop, jazz...). Later on, he recorded for a well-known French rapper MC Solaar, engineered by his friend Phil Zdar (Cassius). He's been featured on several projects over the last 10 years. At age 30, he moved to the French Alps, and started working as a composer for TV. He's currently collaborating with several musicians such as Marc Guillermont, Frans Vollink, Dominique Di Piazza and more. He released his 1st CD as a leader in 2013.
