Jared James Nichols today released a video for his cover of Man In The Box by Alice in Chains. Jared’s music video for the single is released head of his UK and European tour supporting "Mr. Big" in Spring 2024.

The UK leg of the tour includes Nottingham Rock City (March 19), Manchester O2 Ritz (March 20), Wolverhampton KK’s Steel Mill (March 22), and London O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire (March 23).

The UK and European tour coincides with Nichols’ Signature Epiphone Les Paul guitar Blues Power. Jared will be making special appearances at multiple guitar retail stores along the tour route to be announced soon at www.jaredjamesnichols.com.

“Man in the Box is one of my favourite songs ever,” says Jared. “I remember this being one of the first songs I really connected to as a child. Between the bluesy vocals and slinky guitar riff, all the way down to the sludgy overtones, it’s timeless and pure perfection. I started jamming this one at my shows because it is so much fun to play, the audience response was instant.”
Continues Jared, “Man In The Box was originally recorded just for fun at Sweetwater Studios. It turned out so well, we knew we had to share it with the world."

Singer, songwriter, guitarist, and Gibson brand ambassador Jared James Nichols announces his next single “Easy Come, Easy Go” with an accompanying live video. It is the second single from his critically acclaimed eponymous third studio album Jared James Nichols, originally released in January 2023.
“Easy Come, Easy Go” is an electrifying, foot stomping, rock and roll animal,” says Jared. “From the first note, this song is unrelenting with fuzzed out guitars and a heavy groove. I have always loved the phrase easy come, easy go meaning not to dwell or live in the past. The message is to take life as it comes and live in the moment.”
Released earlier in the year by Black Hill Records, Jared James Nichols features every side of the Nashville-based multi-talent and the various genres he grew up listening to, whether it was grunge or blues; all of which has influenced his authentic sound.

Singer, songwriter, guitarist, and Gibson brand ambassador Jared James Nichols announces his next single “Easy Come, Easy Go” with an accompanying live video. It is the second single from his critically acclaimed eponymous third studio album Jared James Nichols, originally released in January 2023.
Released earlier in the year by Black Hill Records, Jared James Nichols features every side of the Nashville-based multi-talent and the various genres he grew up listening to, whether it was grunge or blues; all of which has influenced his authentic sound.
Jared James Nichols is available on all digital music platforms, CD, and vinyl HERE.
“I made a record to serve as the menu for the live show,” reflects Jared. “There is an element of excitement and danger. It’s my version of rock ‘n’ roll with a little more humanity. The album is a day in the life with the ups and downs, but it musically rings true to who I am as an artist.”
Jared James Nichols was produced, engineered, and mixed by Eddie Spear (Zach Bryan, Slash, Rival Sons) and recorded live at Blackbird Studios and Sienna Studios. The recording sessions occurred at a pivotal moment for Nichols, who almost never performed again as he was side-lined months earlier with a broken arm. After surgery, which left him with a plate and sixteen screws in his right arm, he pushed himself with diligence and determination to regain use of his arm and his storied guitar proficiency.

“I feel like a lot of people, when they see me play, they think, ‘Oh, it's going to be super aggressive, and there's a lot of shades of that,” shares Jared James Nichols. “But I'm so obsessed with the tone, the feel of it…. Growing up listening to Jeff Beck, Albert King, guys like that; the super feel stuff to me is where it's at.”
That sentiment is overwhelmingly clear when hearing just a single note of Nichols’ playing. And what makes his musicianship that much more compelling is his abandonment of the pick—most of the time, he’s not really “fingerpicking,” but he uses his fingers to shred like any picking guitarist. He explains, “I'm a lefty, so that's where it originated. I tried to use a pick, and I was really uncoordinated. I can play a lot of the same riffs that someone could do with a pick, but play ’em and they sound a lot different.”
Earlier this year, Nichols came out with his third full-length release, Jared James Nichols, which adds to his catalog 12 more dirt-covered, gritty tunes that dig in with his infectious passion and signature, glistening tone. The album comes on the heels of Nichols’ growing success, bolstered by his extensive touring and tens and thousands of new fans.
