Australian rock band TRACER, who won Best New Band at the 2012 Classic Rock Roll of Honour Awards, start their UK tour with a sold out show the Sheffield Plug on Saturday June 8, followed by dates at the London Scala, Bristol Tunnels, York Fibbers,Glasgow o2 ABC, and the Isle of Wight Festival.  Special guest is Cage the Gods. To coincide with the release of their new album “El Pistolero” on Monday May 6, the Australian rock band TRACER, have just posted the video for their new single “El Pistolero” on YouTube.

The explosive, fast-moving, and graphic promo video is inspired by Robert Rodriguez’s film Desperado, and features Michael Brown (vocals, guitar), Dre Wise (drums) and bassist Jett Heysen-Hicks, performing the song  as if it’s their last night on earth.

Michael Brown: Aussie Trio Tracer UK album and tour details

Australia’s award-winning powerhouse rock band TRACER are pleased to announce the long-awaited release of their new studio album "El Pistolero" - released in the UK on Monday 6^thMay.  The release will be supported by a re-scheduled UK tour that will start at the Sheffield Plug on 8^th June, ending at the Isle of Wight Festival on 16^th June.    

Produced by Kevin Shirley (Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden, Slayer, Silverchair, Cold Chisel) the album is on target to make Tracer the band that everyone will be talking about in 2013.  With the addition of new bassist Jett Heysen-Hicks, founding members Michael Brown (vocals and guitar) and Dre Wise (drums) are determined to take Tracer to the next level.  "The song writing has gone up a peg or two,” says Michael Brown. “Kevin had us doing things we would never have thought of doing and because of that we've stepped into a new realm. I think El Pistolero will define what Tracer is about, and why we're different to everyone else."

Tracer have come a long way since forming in Adelaide, South Australia around 10 years ago. They’ve made two independent mini albums; Into The Night (2006) and L.A.? (2009), but it wasn’t until they released their 2011 debut album Spaces In Between that people really began to take notice. They’ve toured Europe 3 times, and won Best New Band at the 2012 Classic Rock Roll of Honour Awards.

Michael Brown: Tracer wins classic rock best new band award

Australian rock band TRACER won “Best New Band” at last night’s Classic Rock Roll of Honour Awards. Held at the London Roundhouse, lead singer and guitarist Michael Brown was flown in from Adelaide, Australia to accept the award on behalf of the band.

“I’m absolutely stoked about winning the Classic Rock Award for Best New Band,” says Brown. “It still blows my mind that we are creating and playing music we love and people are responding to it and we’re getting awards for it!”  

Tracer start recording their second album with producer Kevin Shirley (Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden, Slayer, Silverchair, Cold Chisel), at his studio in Malibu later this month.  The album will be released by Mascot Records in March 2013, and will dovetail their UK tour in April.
