Notes, rambles, etc.:

If you have a recording labeled “1988-04-02 The Ritz, New York City” or something close, it’s neither The Ritz nor April 2nd, 1988. Someone reading this is thinking ‘I could have told you that.’

I’m at a loss to place track 10. It’s not ‘F Blues’ - there’s an announced version of that in addition to this tune on the Boston recording. That the melody (starting about 70 seconds in) is heavily carried by the synth makes me think it might be a Bernard Wright composition, but I’m not familiar with his work. Any help would be welcome.

I did a minimal cleanup: increased the volume, brought the speed up to pitch (Pud Wud is not in A♭). Tape flip is in the middle of track 6; I reduced the gap.

Shawn co are a little talkative. Mostly between songs, but not always. Someone makes recommendations for moving the recorder at least a couple times, which is done occasionally, causing some noticeable phase changes. So it goes.
Discovered the pic of the laminate while looking for info; decided to include it.

Peace. Enjoy.

2015 release. "Viewpoint" is the follow up release for Live! One Great Night. It combines elements from Steve's other bands Buddy's Buddies and Jazz Legacy. Buddy's Buddies , a Buddy Rich alumni group plays smaller versions of familiar Buddy Rich charts. Jazz Legacy focuses on classic songs by great jazz drummers including Art Blakey, Tony Williams & Elvin Jones. "Viewpoint" combines all of this into one dynamic and versatile band
