in ’Jason Becker Style’ guitar lesson by Will Schut

As you will have noticed we have set-up a Memorabilia Auction on eBay, of which the proceeds will go to Jason. Right now there is a unique item up for auction. Guitarplayers can now bid on a 'JASON BECKER STYLE' Guitar lesson given by one of Dutch top shredders WILL SCHUT (www.willschut.com). The lesson will focus on topics like the use of exotic scales, unusual sweep patterns and scale-mixing.

After the lesson there's also a chance to visit the workshop where the new WS 6 Will Schut Signature guitar has been designed and built and meet with the builder, Patrick Koopman, who's been Steve Vai's guitar tech during the Aching Hunger tour.

A fantastic opportunity I think, so make sure to place the winning bid ultimately by September 13, when the auction ends ! Check out here for all further details of the offer: http://cgi.ebay.nl/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&item=250290557222

For other great auction offers from guys like Rusty Cooley, Steve Vai, Eddie van Halen, Frankie Banali, Virgil Donati, Gus G., Marcel Coenen, Tony Mills, Joe Stump, TNT and Shy, make sure to check here: http://shop.ebay.com/merchant/coolenron

Finally, make sure you download Will Schut's new album 'Weapons of mass seduction' for free from his website www.willschut.com .

Will Schutt: weapon of mass seduction

Economy Sweeping by Will Schut

Outside Tapping by Will Schut

Background:
Will Schut is from Boxtel, The Netherlands and was born on July 9th 1969. He first got into rock music in the seventies, after hearing the band Kiss for the first time. When a few years later he heard Van Halen's debut-album he knew for sure, he wanted to play the electric guitar!

Will was formed his first bands, Villain, a band that tried to mix metal and funk and later on Talion, a more melodic metal band. In 1988 Will recorded his first solo songs, which were heavily influenced by the likes of Yngwie Malmsteen, Paul Gilbert and Tony MacAlpine.

Later Will joined an already existing band, Southern Circus. This was a band with a more symphonic approach to rock music, not unlike Dream Theater. After two years Will left this band to do another solo project, this time with a vocalist. This line-up gigged and recorded without interruption throughout 1996 to 1998, opening shows for Vanden Plas and Hammerfall and headlining some smaller festivals. In 1999 the band got a worldwide record deal with Power Records International and released their debut-album 'Circus of the Damned'. Finally opening up for King's X and later Paul Di'Anno's Battlezone.

Will has recorded his first real solo-album, “Weapons of Mass Seduction”, a six track CD. The album is free to download (and that goes for the booklet as well), so people around the world can enjoy Will’s sixstring antics for free.
