Best known for his stellar 7-string lead work with the progressive metal band Nevermore, Jeff Loomis is also an accomplished songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and guitar magazine columnist. At 16, Jeff won Wisconsin's Guitar Wars contest, auditioned for Megadeth (only his young age disqualified him), and began showcasing his skills for a worldwide audience with Nevermore in 1994. In addition to guest appearances on several albums, Jeff has released two solo albums and a pair of instructional DVDs.
