Conexiuni, with Marius Pop on guitar will play live at the Praktiker store in Ploiesti, on the 19th of October. We'll tell you the starting time of the concert here, on www.chitarist.ro, in the next few days. If you live in Ploiesti or if you're around at that time, the boys' show is well worth seeing. Hopefully there will be some video posted.

On the 14th of June, at 18,00 hours, Marius Pop will play live with Raza at the Mihai Eminescu Amphiteatre, in the Bucharest National Park (the D. Harjeu Street entry). Raza will join Iris, EVO and the Hungarian tribute band Iron Maidnem on stage. You can already buy tickets at bilet.ro, Magazinul Muzica, Flanco Orhideea and Dorobanti, VIC Music Magheru and Batistei, Midola Music Magazinul Victoria and Club Piranha. Be there, because it will be a great show!

The band Headliner, with Marius Pop on guitar, has won the Grand Prize at the Student Band's Gala, at the 2007 edition of the prestigious Sibiu Jazz Festival. Their accomplishment is reflected in an article in Bihor's best known weekly, Bihoreanul.
Also, the song "Got To Have Faith", for the "Europe Tribute Album" is also close to being finished.

I just got some confirmation that Marius Pop doesn't currently have a CD, but he's working on some tracks at the moment. However, Marius has also been working on the The Europe Tribute Project that Marius is a part of by recording the song "Got To Have Faith".

It's always great to find a new five star player...particularly after loosing Lucas Zembrzuski (although I'm still searching!)...Marious Pop has added some great video and music to both his YouTube and Myspace web sites. I urge you to check them out.

Background:
Marius Pop was born in Romania. He learned guitar by himself, as he didn't have the chance to learn in school. Romania currently does not have guitar schools for rock or fusion.
Marius Pop also has a lot of musical experience, playing in bands Romanian bands like Gral, Thamyras, Jazz Today and Desperado. He has played various genres, from rock to jazz and fusion, and from country to blues. He currently works on a few solo projects and plays in the bands Raza, Headliner and D-Side.
