Márcio Okayama was born in December 15 1971 São Paulo Brazil. His first interest in music came by listening to The Beatles,The Who and Hendrix. On his early teenage years he moved to listening to Randy Rhoads, Akira Takasaki, Zappa, Vivian Campbell, George Lynch, Jason Becker and Yngwie Malmsteen.

By 17 he was giving guitar classes and earning his living performing in clubs. He obtained a degree in classical guitar. Soon after he was producing for other musicians. After that he began to work transcribing music for the brazillian mag Cover Guitarra.

Studio performances includes: Eterna, Kiko Loureiro, Edu Ardanuy, Raissa Machado, Nilton Wood, Sergio Buss, Silas Fernandes and Fickle Pickle.
