Background:
George Rovati is from Padova, Italy. He started playing classical guitar at the age of 9 years, having attended a school of classical music and several teachers with private lessons to 16 years. He had his first electric guitar and abandoned classical studies and began to self study techniques of rock and metal.

He entered all'Accademia of modern music "LIZARD", studying primarily with Alex Stornello, Lelio Padovani and Nicola Balliana. After graduating with vote 30/30 I continued to deepen his musical studies with Alex Stornello to MODERN MUSIC INSTITUTE of Padova.

He has participated in various seminars, clinic and master classes with Frank Gambale, Paul Gilbert, Carl Verheyen, Dave Hill, Bob Brozman, Michael Mellner, Alex Stornello, Greg Howe, Guthrie Govan and many others.

He has played in several bands ranging from pop to rock to metal. Currently he is producing his first CD with his progressive metal band Centrica. Centrica was born September 2006 when keyboard player Andrea Pavanello and guitarist Giorgio Rovati decided to write some music together. With high enthusiasm for writing and musical inspiration beginning to flow, they decided to put up a record called Centrica. Being their very first project, the intention was to write instrumental music within the progressive rock environment. Centrica will be releasing their debut album called Centrica in 2008 with the collaboration of Alberto De Bortoli on bass guitar and Dario Ciccioni on drums.
