News: Bristol UK guitar show announced

Former Clarion NEC man teams up with specialist distributor for new consumer show September 19th will see the launch of the Bristol Guitar Show, the first in a series of planned regional shows from a new event organiser, UK Guitar Shows.

The new company is a collaboration between the former Music Live manager, Jason Hunt, and Jason Castle, the owner of guitar specialist distributor, High End Guitars, bringing together some 23 years of combined experience in guitars and events.

The event is to be held over three halls at Bristol City Football Club’s Ashton Gate stadium and is planned to be a straightforward ‘table-top’ format, giving an even hand to all potential exhibitors.

Manufacturers, distributors, retailers, luthiers and private sellers will all figure at the show, with dedicated electric guitar, acoustic guitar and live room halls, creating separate identities for each of the sections within the show.

“We’re really excited about this inaugural show," said Hunt. "UK Guitar Shows is all about taking events back to the grassroots with very affordable rates for both exhibitors and visitors. The events landscape has changed enormously in the last two years and, judging by the response we’ve had from exhibitors so far, there is a real appetite for value, focused events such as this.”

Tickets for the show are priced at £6.50 in advance and £8.50 on the door. More information on the show is available at the event's website http://www.ukguitarshows.co.uk/
