Marc Cooper: cancer fund

In November 2015 I was rushed to the hospital from a very painful attack of kidney stones. After being in the hospital for hours a CT scan was ordered only to have the doctor come to tell us there was much more than kidney stones that showed up on the scan. I was told I had tumors in both lungs and possibly it had metastasized to my pancreas. Within days new blood work and CT scans showed that the pancreas was 100% clean but my lungs weren't. Since this diagnosis I started to notice continual pain in my left lower lung, and after a series of biopsies and a PET scan it revealed that I have Plasmacytoma-myeloma or a Lymphoma with extensive plasma cell differentiation. (It has been stated that this cancer could be stage 4, but can't be confirmed yet. In the meantime the constant waiting has been extremely stressful on myself, my wife, Renee and our daughter, Lacey.) Many more tests are now needed to conclusively know more before any treatment options can be started. So more invasive surgical procedures will need to be performed very soon. I'm scheduled to have one of the largest tumors removed from my right lung in the end of January 2016.

Being originally from Canada, I have had the joy of making my living as a musician, producing and making records in Canada, the US and throughout Asia; authoring 8 published books on guitar instruction, and performing all over the globe with many fine musicians from around the world. I knew of the need of having medical insurance in the US and have always had it, but now these medical costs, treatment options, loss of work, the financial strain on my family has caused us to call out for some very needed help and for very needed prayer.

Your donations, any amount large or small, are vital and humbly appreciated and will provide relief from the constant out of pocket costs. Even if you can't donate, we ask that you'd please share this fundraiser with as many people as you can. We believe miracles still do happen! Help us and join my fight to kick this cancer right to the curb!
