Great news! Our fleet-fingered friend Alex Hutchings is coming to the jamtrackcentral studio in early February to record some new material for us.
We'll let you know what's happening as soon as we possibly can. We're expecting great things from Alex once again!
Check out Alex’s two stunning current Custom Fusion packages
Custom Fusion 1
Custom Fusion 2

Guthrie Govan: rock blues jam package

As promised, we have a new Guthrie Govanpackage available on our site... it's the solo he improvised over our Satriani-style jam track.  As usual, the package contains the solo in audio and high-quality video form, along with the full jam track, accurate Tab and lots of information about the theory and techniques involved. This solo features some of Guthrie's most aggressive playing, so don't hurt yourselves! If you like the jam track but would prefer to learn an easier solo, you can find one in our Rock Blues package.

Mika Birta: smooth jazz

I composed this song june 22 in 1992. Those days I did not give titels of my notes, so I just add the actual date to them. I named the title "Old smooth" just now. I remember when I composed it was a hard compromise for myself, because I felt it is too "pop-style". And what a strange thing, in the next year I took it to a jazzcamp in Tatbánya where we played it on the ending concert. I still like this song that's why I put it on here. Thanks for your watching!

News: shred this too, the top players, your say!

John Lee Hooker: blues cartoon tribute

John Lee Hooker (1917-2001) was a unique musician from Mississippi. He often used open tunings on his guitar (open G or A) and did not care much about the often used 12 bar structure of the blues. He recorded since 1948 - alone and with other musicians:
From Eddie Burns and Eddie Kirkland - his lesser known guitarists who were Detroit based like him in the 50's - to Eddie Taylor, Motown's Funk Brothers with legendary Bassplayer James Jamerson (on BOOM BOOM), Muddy Waters or even Martha Reeves & the Vandellas in the 60's to Rock musicians like Canned Heat, Van Morrison, Carlos Santana or the Groundhogs from the UK who were his back-up band when he visited Europe the first time after his appereance with the American Folk Blues Festival from 1962. He even recorded with legendary trumpet player Miles Davis a soundtrack for a film in 1990.
After my tributes to Jimmy Reed and Sonny Boy Williamson II I have chosen John Lee Hooker for my third blues cartoon because he was the first bluesman I ever saw live 30 years ago when I was a teenager. Like usual I did the animation and played all instruments by myself. My intension was not to sound as similar as the original but to honor the music in my way.
I hope I am able to entertain you a little bit and make appetite for the original artists.
Thank you
