Shred Guitar In The 1980s! In this episode and guitar lesson I take a look at Paul Gilbert and his debut album Street Lethal Racer X...with a guitar analysis of the licks that he played on the album. Paul Gilbert's fast alternate picking style and fluid legato lines made an immediate impact on a generation of Rock guitarists in the 1980s. With the emergence of Eddie Van Halen, Randy Rhoads and Yngwie Malmsteen a new movement of virtuoso rock guitar players was born. Also I review the Album Disillusion by Akira Takasaki and Loudness.
