News: The Caposonic at $3100... 25 days to go.

Local Santa Barbara inventor finds the “missing link” for musicians learning and performing guitar. Ben Ryan, avid music lover and guitar player, invented the CapoSonic out of necessity. The CapoSonic “First Generation Classic” device, similar to a capo, attaches to the neck of the guitar; allowing guitarists to alter
the sound produced by the instrument.
Ben Ryan became infatuated with the endless possibilities created by tuning a guitar to “open” chords as opposed to standard guitar tuning. Ben began writing and performing songs that required these special tunings on a regular basis forcing him to carry numerous guitars and traditional capos to each event. The
problem that most technical guitarists face: writing, practicing and performing songs with new sounds and advanced arrangements requires multiple tunings. Avid guitarists, like Ben Ryan, would rather carry
multiple guitars to live events, than limit their catalog of performance material. The CapoSonic solves this problem by allowing musicians to configure chord shapes by positioning the six individual hammers on the capo; producing “open tuning” and alternative sounds, without needing to re-tune the guitar. The
CapoSonic allows guitarists to play with the familiarity of standard tuning, using regular chords, scales and patterns yet arrive at the richness of open tuning sounds.
Before inventing CapoSonic, Ben Ryan searched high and low for a product to meet his need. He went to all the music stores - local and regional - in his extensive travels from New York to LA and many points in between, but he couldn’t find a solution. Over time, Ben Ryan developed the CapoSonic through rigorous experimentation. Ben was able to team up with a Santa Barbara local machine shop and engineer to make his design concept a reality. The result is a one of a kind product that solves a real need through the
application of a revolutionary concept.
The CapoSonic “First Generation Classic” device designshave been finalized and Ben Ryan’s innovative solution will
be made made available to guitar lovers everywhere later
this year.
Ben Ryan has developed a KickStarter Campaign to raise funding necessary to produce and ship the first run of the CapoSonic. The CapoSonic will be made available EXCLUSIVELY through
with unique sponsor packages offered to those who back the project. The Kickstarter Campaign is running from now until October 28, 2012. Kickstarter campaigns follow the “all or nothing” funding model, meaning that CapoSonic must meet this fundraising goal in order for the product to ship to backers.
The CapoSonic benefits are numerous. Not only does CapoSonic bring to the world a new device using precise technology and state of the art manufacturing, it brings to bear a new, valuable method for teaching and learning guitar. The CapoSonic solution enables orchestrated inversions, stacked chords and an exponential number of ways to bring new life to the guitar.

Find CapoSonic on Kickstarter and check out the product video for a live demo of the prototype.

Rev. Willy G: Not really a big secret; we've said it more than once: You can't lose with the blues. We fell into a groove at the start and we just kept at it and have no intention of letting go now that we're staring to get good at it.
