Elliot Noble: tribute to Tosin Abasi
Just got this album a few weeks ago and it is amazing! Kinda like Chimp Spanner but with a bit more variety. Found this quite hard to get right with the clean sound and annoying slides and position shifts! Thanks for watching :)

Constantine, Bob Katsionis: Shredcore (CD)
Constantine Shredcore (CD)
Constantine is a new breed of guitar hero that has forged this epic nine-piece with his best guitar work ever, including massive opening riffs, spectacular interludes and soaring solos while effortlessly coating the whole thing in a never-ending matrix of blazing shredding. "The crystal-clear, but nonetheless massive production of R.D. Liapakis (Mystic Prophecy, Firewind, Suicidal Angels), the precision drumming of Frank Huber (ex-Valley's Eve), the lightning fast keyboard solos of Bob Katsionis (Firewind) and Constantine’s eclectic style and influences combine for a truly unique guitar-oriented record. In addition, Greek keyboard master Bob Katsionis provides all keyboards and keyboard solos. Shredcore is a must-have for all the fans of modern metal/rock guitar shredding that can't be missed. BUY

Riccardo Vernaccini:Attracted To The Moon (CD)
Riccardo Vernaccini - Attracted To The Moon (CD)
Italian guitarist Riccardo Vernaccini comments on his work and his 2010 CD Attracted To The Moon, "I’ve spent most of my life studying, playing gigs, teaching guitar, composing and recording. In 2005 I released my first instrumental work entititled "…At last!” which received a lot of kind feedback from various webzines and magazines all around the world. I love and will always love music, it’s extraordinary how much emotion can be transmitted through it; truly magical! Receiving a compliment, and know that there are people who appreciate my music and the way I play my guitar, fills me with joy and makes me proud of what I have created, helping me to go on. I’m so happy that my music has been able to touch someone!" Attracted To The Moon is a blend of hard rock, shred and fusion reminiscent of Greg Howe, and here, Vernaccini has channeled all of his influences and a great deal of hard work into his compositions. Tight, intricate arrangements, which still allow for plenty of solo space, are a Vernaccini trademark. Sweep picking, legato assaults, shred-lead choruses - all delivered with gut-felt conviction - are additional appealing qualities you'll hear a lot of in his guitar playing. BUY

David Stockden: new CD reviewed
A great review by DoFret:
Reflections of Themes is the 2009 solo CD by UK Guitarist David Stockden.
Having first been turned onto guitar by seeing Def Leppard at the age of 12, David delved into the instrument and later, became influenced by players like Vai, Satriani, Paul Gilbert and Nuno Bettencourt.
Featuring none other than bass legend Stu Hamm on a couple of tracks, Reflections of Themes is a 10 track instrumental CD with some blistering fretboard work, cool melodies and memorable tunes!
Do Fret takes a look at David's 2nd solo CD. Read more
