Alex Hutchings,Jess Lewis: little jazzy jam

Alex and Jess are captured on camera jamming in the London Jamtrackcentral studio.
Alex is using his Laney GH 50L amp head going into a Cornford 1 X 12 open backed cab loaded with a Celestion Vintage 30 speaker.
This was mic'ed up with a Shure SM 57 and an AKG 414 UBLS to add a little body to the tone. We used Neve 1073 preamps with the SM57 fed into a Purple Audio MC77 limiter.
Jess is DI'ed into the desk via a BSS DI box fed into an Empirical Labs Distressor.
No eq needed and reverb came from Logic Pro's Space Designer.

Our friend Brett Garsed dropped in today. He's been hounding me (Burgs) for the Goldtop ever since we mentioned that it was going into production. Well, today all of his fuzz wishes were fulfilled and then some.

Dvk Technologies is proud and honoured to welcome Brett to our endorser roster. He's a gentleman and master shredder of the highest order and we look forward to working with Brett in the future and for a long time to come.

Cheers BG!

Joe Bonamassa,Derek Sherinian: Black Country Communion for High Voltage Festival

Black Country Communion is pleased to confirm that they will perform on the Main Stage at the celebrated High Voltage Festival on Sunday July 24th in London’s Victoria Park.  High Voltage will be the band’s only UK festival appearance during the summer of 2011.  Other bands confirmed for High Voltage include Judas Priest, Dream Theater, Jethro Tull, and the Michael Schenker Group.
Black Country Communion is the Anglo-American rock supergroup that features vocalist/bassist Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple, Trapeze, Black Sabbath), drummer Jason Bonham (Led Zeppelin), keyboardist Derek Sherinian (Dream Theater) and blues-rock guitarist/vocalist Joe Bonamassa.  Hughes and Bonamassa originally appeared at the inaugural High Voltage festival in 2010, with Hughes singing for Heaven & Hell in tribute to his late friend, Ronnie James Dio.
Black Country Communion’s self-titled debut album was released in September 2010 to much critical acclaim.  It entered the official UK album chart at #13 and shot straight to #1 in the official UK rock album chart.  BCC’s debut was placed at #3 in Classic Rock magazine’s “Critics Album of the Year” poll, while Planet Rock radio listeners voted them as the Best New Band of 2010.  Black Country Communion are currently mixing their second studio album with Kevin Shirley, the album is scheduled for release in June 2011.
High Voltage tickets are priced £99 for the weekend and £56.50 per day, VIP tickets are available at £105.00 per day, and £199.00 for the weekend (stbf).
