Extended original composition featuring piano as well as guitar with some nice thematic ideas...
Sameh Ibrahim - The Book Of Seasons - Original Song
I was working on some wide interval ideas along one string with some big stretches so decided to make a little tune out of it. There's a metal riff and solo section using the diminshed scale. Hope you like it! I will upload the tab on my website if anyone wants it.
I offer online lessons via skype. If this is something you're interested in and would like more information, email me at tomrguitar@gmail and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
Metal Riff and Solo with Big Stretch!
I'm currently in the process of recording my first instrumental EP. Here are a few clips from the recording of the first 3 songs. I will post more info as in the next couple of weeks. There's quite a bit more to get down including keys. The audio is from the camera mic so excuse the quality in places.
It should hopefully be ready for release in the next month or so. More clips to follow...

German Schauss, Hands 2 Hearts Rehearsal Video
I know, I know… There are a million bands, authors, actors, small businesses asking for you to spread the word about them, “like” them, vote for them and so on and on. Sometimes we feel like we have to because we don’t want to create trouble because we are friends with so many local talents and if like one but not the other then the drama starts and some times we don’t support at all because we don’t want the drama or we don’t have the time or something similar. With this blog I am not asking you to do anything but support your favorites and only your favorites. It is not your responsibility or obligation to support anyone except those you chose and no one should get mad at you if you don’t support things you chose not to for any reason at all.
In order for your favorite artist (insert entertainment medium here) to spread the word and create the “buzz,” they need people spreading the word about them as much as possible. Social media is the easiest and cheapest way to do that. So this blog is about that and how you as a fan, friend or family member can do this to maximize their efforts and actually yours as well.
It is very important to the success of any type of entertainer be it musicians, authors, bloggers, actors etc… that their content reach the masses. Since many of you already click like on so much of their stuff would it really take that much extra time to share it? Comment on it on the actual page and not just on Facebook although that does help. All these sites rates posts popularity by how much attention it gets and for it to reach the masses, it needs your attention. So please read this and if you are able to help these people out, please do the extra little bit for your favorite artists etc…

I guess by now that those who have followed this blog will no doubt seen Andreas Varady.. and burned your guitar... well here's another litle guy who will make you want to do the same...

|Richard Hallebeek: RHP II|
Guthrie Govan joins RHPII on the jazz rocker 'Bring It On'!
This is a guitar collaboration in the true sense of the word, with duo-riffs (Rich-L/ Guthrie-R), both doing fills, taking one solo round each and finally trading solos in the outtro.
I wrote the majority of the song with Guthrie in mind during a gig we did together at the Ziua Chitarelor festival in 2009 in Bucharest, where I got inspired by all the players; 70's riffs, jazz, fusion... and mixing it all up.
The UK virtuoso Guthrie is known for his work with the bands The Aristocrats, Asia, GPS and from his 2006 solo release 'Erotic Cakes', that has become quite the bible for guitarists worldwide. This song features Sebastiaan Cornelissen, Frans Vollink and Lalle Larsson. And thanks Corrado Sgandurra for a great festival.
Richard Hallebeek Interested in the details of Guthrie's setup for this song? Was it an Axe FX? What guitar/strings? Where were the drums recorded? More info on this recording? Go to my artist page and hit LIKE to read on!https://www.facebook.com/richhallebeek?ref=hl
Douglas Quaid: Ever heard of Rekall? They sell those fake memories.
Harry: Oh, "Rekall, Rekall, Rekall." You thinking of going there?
Douglas Quaid: I don't know, maybe.
Harry: Well, don't. A friend of mine tried one their "special offers," nearly got himself lobotomized.
Douglas Quaid: No shit?
Harry: Don't fuck with your brain, pal. It ain't worth it.
Douglas Quaid: I guess not.
[Continues jackhammering, Harry watches in disbelief]
[Kuato is dying]
Kuato: Quaid... Quaid...
Benny: Forget it, man, his fortune-telling days are over.
Kuato: Start the reactor. Free Mars...

Legendary Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett has announced the details of his forthcoming studio album Genesis Revisited II in a special YOUTube video message for Genesis fans worldwide.
Steve Hackett has brought together a host of stunning guest performers including Steven Wilson and Mikael Akerfeldt (Opeth) to craft an album that revisits many of the best loved songs from his Genesis years.
What better person to introduce you to this epic undertaking than the man himself.
STEVE HACKETT - Introducing Steve Hackett's Genesis Revisited II
Steve Hackett's Genesis Revisited II will be released on 22nd October 2012 in Europe (G/S/A: October 19th 2012) and comes in a limited edition 2CD Media-book, as well as a beautiful 4LP & 2CD version that showcases the brilliant artwork above.
Last year saw the release of Steve Hackett's critically acclaimed and best selling solo album Beyond The Shrouded Horizon, which he toured extensively.
A lengthy world tour in support of the new album to be announced soon.
Stay tuned for more details.

I have spent last week in the studio of Rick Musallam, we have worked treacherous hours fine-tuning some very delicate arrangements on a truly kaleidoscopic selection of tunes for our upcoming tour, and I very much need to sleep right now but I also want to say
Very excited about getting on the road just over a week from now to play a bunch of songs, including a fresh batch of tunes from Wing Beat Fantastic. Heartwarming reviews for the new album continue to come in, and there are too many interviews happening for me to keep track of (although there’s a really good audio interview you can download here - click on “Interviews” on the left column of the main homepage and you’ll find it – so in general it seems that WBF is finding a warm spot in the world – thank you yet again, world!
If you haven’t indulged in the new album yet, please know that it’s available as a CD, and also as adownload – and if you get the download from us and not one of those other places, you WILL get the complete booklet in pdf format, with lyrics and credits included, so that you won’t have to trust websites like this which purport to present the lyrics to the song "Wing Beat Fantastic" but which truly, truly do not. (Although I very much enjoy the line “Oh evading caliser immigrate to regions where come and dance with me” – I could imagine that on Trout Mask Replica somewhere.)
Wing Beat Fantastic is also available as a SHIRT.
The Keneally Band will be in the UK and Europe in March 2013! See most of the dates below! More to come!
Dethklok will emerge from the ashes in early November for a North American tour, right after I get back from several weeks in South America with Joe Satriani and G3 in October – so I’ll hopefully be seeing loads of you kindfolk in the next few months!
Happy birthday Sarah!
Love at y’all!
Mike Keneally - "I'm Raining Here, Inside" from "Wing Beat Fantastic"
Is off once again to beautiful Asia in October! First arriving in Chinas largest city, Shanghai, to perform at China Music Messe. And finally, off to Japan, and always breathtaking Tokyo for clinics with my true friend, standup gentlemen, and other-worldly guitarist Tom Quayle Time to get my chops in order!! =)
Hedras recently took second place in the Ziua Chitarelor 3 guitar competition in Bucharest. He plays 7-string Halo guitars outfitted with the SH-2 Jazz in the neck and the SH-4 JB in the bridge.
His third album, Atoms and Space, is available on iTunes and Amazon.
Polish guitar impresario and guitar ambassador Michał Kubicki says "Check out the youngest Ibanez endorsee in Poland! Jakub Żytecki has just joined the club and already tested the first axe he got from Ibanez Guitars. Congrats, Jakub!"
Sup guys! Wanna hear my new porno-funk style improv video? :) I recorded that video for GuitarManic school in which I'm going to work, so if some of you guys are interested in on line lessons hit me up!
Hope you'll enjoy the video!
Feodor Strikes Again
This time last week, we launched the first of two Feodor Dosumov jam track packages and it has been received with open arms. After all, Feodor is one of the most exciting guitar players on the scene right now. His new jam track package, entitled 'Power Surge' (Alternate Version) has a cool story behind it too. A few months back, we sent one of our jam tracks to a load of artists from the JTC roster to jam over and send back. The track was called Power Surge. The guys (and you will have to wait and see who!) have all returned their versions now and we are piecing it together to make an amazing collaboration track. However, when we were sent back Feodor's first version, he had completely reconstructed the track, adding new sections and making it much longer in the process. So here it is in all its glory. In the meantime, Feodor also created a version over the original track too, which you will see in the near future.
Power Surge (Alternate Version) showcases exactly what Feodor is all about. Incredible guitar playing mixed with a creative backdrop to jam over. With this jam track package you will learn some incredible new techniques and licks that will test your playing to the absolute max. Available for just £4.99 this download comes with the full length video, solo track, backing track and complete TAB and notation.

Welcome to the new Lick Of The Week, This week I want to share with you a demo of the N - Audio Fire Sound V3 Over drive pedal. This pedal is hand made and hand-wired. It is really smooth on both clean and dirty. I am just touching some of the tones you can get with this pedal. As you will see by the demo I am not changing my settings. I am showing you how I use it when playing. The tones available with this pedal is amazing and I can only tell you to explore. Here is where to purchase the pedal. The price is actually very good for the quality pedal you are getting.
Enjoy and Thanks to N - Audio

For some reason I've always found Rhythm Changes really hard to play on and was inspired by a friend of mine to try it again. Here's a couple of choruses from an improv I recorded. Lots of work to do!!

Was about time I did a demo of the excellent 45W tube/hybrid combo from Koch amps, called the Jupiter.
This is a nifty combo with a lot of bells and whistles, but foremost for me, it's a great pedal amp at any volume!
AND, I also want to add that in the end of this video you will get the very first video/audio sneak peak of my upcoming signature Parallax overdrive! Don't miss that =)
Here's a demo of it, with both hum and single guitars, and with pedals as well. Check it out!
