Mix by Fluff:

Fun fact: This video was made (minus Jared's footage) 3 years ago. Hence the change in location to my old house. It was intended to be a collab with MysteryGuitarMan, but it fell through. Recently Jared contacted me pitching an idea for a guitar battle and my response was "Alright! already done" and I sent him the footage and audio. So this video is 3 years in the making and maybe I'll resurrect some other old ideas that for whatever reason never came out. Thanks for watching!

This video was made possible because of generous contributions from Michael Christie, Rob Harper, Kipley, Brian Arsuaga, Michael M. Morgan, Charles Jones, James Bryant, Jedidiah Silvertooth, Lirielle & many other awesome people on my patreon page
Thank you so much!

Mika Tyyskä: Mr. Fastfinger's alter ego Mr Slow Finger about to hit town!

Mr. Fastfinger

Good news: My new 20 lick pack with Jam Track Central is finishes and I've delivered everything. This deluxe version will be extra special I tell you! Will let you know about the release date once it's confirmed.

Other news: My fretting hand has not yet completely recovered. It's only been two weeks since the accident. I can play pretty normal with 3 fingers, pinky 1/4 or 1/2 okay. I tried working on a guest solo for Guitar Addiction album this morning, hate the fact that the hand is easily hurting if I'm trying anything stretchy or "exotic". Will just have to adjust to the situation I guess.
Good thing is that the Mr. Fastfinger album has only 1 and half songs left for me to do guitars one. And! There's no shredding needed for these tracks!

Tassos Spiliotopoulos: fusion guitar solo - Sherborne Jazz Club - nice legato fusion

Chris Spedding: Announces Brand New Album Featuring A Slew Of Special Guests Including Johnny Marr & Bryan Ferry!

UK Guitar Legend Chris Spedding Announces Brand New Album Featuring A Slew Of Special Guests Including Johnny Marr & Bryan Ferry!

Los Angeles, CA - Step right this way, folks, for the experience of a lifetime as guitar hero Chris Spedding showcases his newest, coolest action-packed, thrill ride - Joyland! Packed with more exhilarating highs and heart pounding surprises than any rollercoaster on the planet, Joyland is Spedding’s latest studio effort, his first since 2011 and his 13th original studio album overall in a career that now spans over 4 decades. Featuring 11 brand new compositions, a slew of pure rock riffs and tons of toe-tapping grooves, Joyland will be open to the public starting early 2015 courtesy of Cleopatra Records.

Adding to the excitement, Spedding has called on a number of friends and associates to help bring his newest creation to life. The album kicks off with a haunting spoken word piece voiced by the unmistakable tones of famed actor Ian McShane (HBO’s Deadwood), followed by a stunning, spine-tingling vocal performance by the God Of Hellfire himself, the one and only Arthur Brown. Former Sex Pistol Glen Matlock joins Spedding on the first of two stellar instrumental cuts, the other featuring none other than Smiths’ guitar god Johnny Marr - talk about a clash of titans! More astounding vocal performances arrive from Roxy Music frontman Bryan Ferry and rockabilly crooner Robert Gordon, both of whom make a perfect foil for Spedding’s vibrant guitar playing. Rounding out this stellar list of guests are a couple of Spedding’s old bandmates from the 1972 group Sharks, Andy Fraser and Steve Parsons, as well as newcomer Lane and another Roxy Music alum Andy Mackey. With this all-star gang of superb musicians on board, better hang on to your hats, kids, this is bound to be one wild ride!

Michael Schenker: will release a new studio album entitled “Spirit On A Mission” in the UK

Michael Schenker will release a new studio album entitled Spirit On A Mission in the UK on Monday 23rd March

Released by in-akustik, the album of all-new material features Schenker’s Temple of Rock band including ex-Scorpions Herman Rarebell (drums) and Francis Buchholz (bass), ex-Rainbow’s DoogieWhite (vocals) and Wayne Findlay (guitar, keyboards). The album will be released on CD, Deluxe Edition (CD+DVD), Deluxe 180 gram vinyl (special DMM-Cut), and digital download.

The album features 12 classic rock guitar-driven songs that highlight Schenker’s distinctive and dynamic guitar playing, valiantly underpinned by the ferocious rhythm section of Rarebell and Buchholz, the same rhythm section that originally performed together on the Scorpions’ 1979 album Lovedrive

Michael remembers how he came up with the name of the new album - “A while ago I was asked how I wanted to be remembered, and I said ‘as a spirit on a mission, spreading the joy of music from a place of pure self expression.’”   Check out the promo video of the new single “Vigilante Man” here -

Marty Friedman: Interviewed by Mark Dean - Myglobalmind Webzine

You also seem very in touch with current music -the hook up with Shining being an obvious example. Are there however any musical genres that you would dismiss? In the UK we have manufactured pop music and reality TV shows..which have become part of our culture.

Marty”I really dislike reality TV shows, but it is easy to ignore them because you just don’t watch them. Anytime I have seen one I wonder why people would ever sit down and watch them. Musical I don’t have any problem with anything. There is good music-there is music that I like. No one can judge good music and bad music .Every single persons opinion is valid. Especially in the world of rock and metal, people like to complain about Edm and stuff. It’s just not for them, if its not in your life then it’s not in your life. I see a lot of people enjoying it and having a good time and that is what music is about.”
