Mike Dawes & Amy Turk are an acoustic guitar and concert harp duo from the South of England. This amazingly creative act produces a palette of intricately delicate sounds that have been stunning audiences nationwide.

Frank is one of the most accomplished, multi-dimensional players walking the planet today. Monster player, composer and improviser, Frank plays proficiently in every genre, from jazz to bluegrass, and works with everyone and their brother. Gordon's music continues to evade categorisation, influenced as it is by the rock guitar of Hank Marvin and Pete Townshend, the folk guitar of Bert Jansch and John Renbourn, and the classical guitar of Julian Bream and John Williams. He has released 25 original studio albums, plus numerous live albums and compilations.

Pat Metheny: Concert in Spain

The next February the great jazz musician Pat Metheny visit Spain. These concerts will be part of "The Orchestrion Tour. During the year 2010 Metheny publish a new solo album, which will be the only musician. The album will be called 'Orchestrion' and apparently will take you only a "machine" that will handle all the accompaniments, has confirmed that this is not a synthesizer or sequencer, we should expect to see with that surprises us.

Here you can see the cities chosen for the concerts and the corresponding link where you can purchase the tickets. In the first three dates are not yet know the date that will go on sale, the sales began in Barcelona yesterday:

News: Montana in 2010 guitar festival announced

One of our alumni, David Feffer, has asked NGW to coordinate a guitar festival in Bigfork, Montana from August 29th through September 4th. The event will take place at Flathead Lake Lodge, a 4-star resort and dude ranch in Bigfork, MT. This event will feature 5 guest artists and 5 NGW faculty members teaching courses in rock, blues, jazz, acoustic and classical.

This is your chance to get up close and personal with some of the best guitarists in the world through group sessions, one-on-one lessons, intimate concert performances and much more. Play guitar in the morning, fly fish in the afternoon and jam at night. Flathead Lake Lodge is 45 minutes from Glacier National Park and there will be time built into the schedule for outdoor excursions.

News:Jeff Scott Soto UK date announced!

Hillock Productions & JSS Promotions announce UK Gig for Jeff Scott Soto!

Jeff Scott Soto will be gracing this ‘green and sceptred isle’ with his new band for the only time in 2010 at Camden’s renowned ‘Underworld’ on Wednesday January 20th, a date not to be missed. Hillock Productions/JSS Promotions have teamed up with FaBluSis Promotions to book one of melodic rock’s most prolific artistes for this unique date in London.

Its been a long time since Jeff appeared in the UK and this time it will be with his new line up including: Jorge Salan (guitar & vocal), BJ (guitar, acoustic, keyboards and vocals), Fernando Mainer (bass and vocals) and Edu Cominato (drums & vocals).

This will be the only opportunity for fans in the UK to experience the show that was recorded live for the ‘One Night in Madrid’ DVD (released on Frontiers Records) with tracks from all his solo albums including ‘Beautiful Mess’, ‘Talisman’ and much, much more. Zappatore Marcello is a musician, a virtuoso guitarist Salento, who would not absolutely need an introduction because his talent and longevity in the musical work have meant that an artist becomes well known.
Born in Lecce on 4 May 1976. He began playing guitar at 13 years studying with various teachers (-Frank Gambale (1997), Brett Garsed (2003), Massimo Varini (2005), Luca Colombo (2005), Peter Noble (2006), Paul Gilbert (2008) -- )
Multiple collaborations and due recognition. He played in 2002 with Alex Damiani, then with the Kiss of Death, by affecting the disk 'Inferno Inc.' (2004) and shoulder to the sound of Sepultura in 2002. From 2005 to 2007 was the guitarist of the group known Apres la Classe also affect the guitars on the disc 'Luna Park' (2006) and the live CD released in 2008. In 2004 he won the contest "Emergenza guitars" organized by the magazine Playgame Guitars and Music, are among the top ten new talents selected Italian guitar from the competition: this is the publication of his song on the compilation album "Emergency 4 guitars. He has performed on stage with the greatest of Arezzo Wave Apr├Ęs la Classe summer of 2005 in October of 2003, the television network MTV is running a short commercial that has as its protagonist Marcello Zappatore and his passion for Frank Zappa in 2005 is the 'actor of the short film "In the religious hardship" Maximilian Chub, which won the Critics Prize at Milan Film Festival.
