With the help of so many of you, we've managed to raise enough funding to film the first two legs of production trips. We're still looking for the remaining funding for the third and final trip, along with the necessary budget for post-production costs. This includes editing, sound edit & mix, color correction, titles, effects and offline. Making a film is expensive however we've managed to stretch a dollar to a hundred and have so far produced very high quality footage. We owe everything to you, our funders, and if you'd still like to help, please let all your friends and family know about the good work we're trying to do for Jason and for raising awareness about ALS. People can now make donations direct from the website at www.JasonBeckerMovie.com.
ALBUM OUT MAY 23rd ON NIGHTMARE RECORDS
Born in Montebelluna (Treviso, Italy) in 1981, bass player ALBERTO RIGONI founded a well-known progressive-metal cover band, in 1998 called "Ascra", with drummer Enrico Buttol, performing mainly songs by Dream Theater. In 2003 he joined the emerging band Twinspirits (progressive rock metal), led by Daniele Liverani (Genius Rock Opera, Khymera, ex-Empty Tremor). The band's debut album "The Music That Will Heal The World" was released worldwide in 2007 by Finnish label Lion Music and received remarkable feedback. Besides Twinspirits" RIGONI composed his first solo album entitled "Something Different", released by Lion Music on February 15th 2008 with worldwide distribution. At the same time Alberto shot a video of his hit song "BASSex" (working with Italian company "Solingo Visual Arts") directed by Elia Cristofoli. The video was broadcast on some television networks such as RockTV.
2009 saw the release of the second Twinspirits album "The Forbidden City" on Lion Music. During this time period RIGONI also played bass as special guest on some tracks of Giani Rojatti's solo guitar album "Dolcetti Metal Beat" and scored some gear endorsements with great companies such as Aguilar Amplification, HipShot amongst others.
The following year RIGONI began work on what was to become "Rebirth". It was also at this time that he became involved with the band Mistheria and played bass on their album "Dragonfire". The all-star line-up of Mistheria included: John West, Mark Boals, Rob Rock, Titta Tani, Lance King on vocals, George Bellas, Roger Staffelbach, Emir Hot, Neil Zaza on guitars, ALBERTO RIGONI on bass and on the drums John Macaluso.
In 2011, Twinspirits released their third album "Legacy". It was at this time that ALBERTOsigned with Nightmare Records. He is scheduled to release his sophomore solo album "Rebirth" on May 23rd, 2011. It was originally scheduled for May 24th, but pop queen Lady Gaga is putting out her new album that Monday May 23rd, so all Sony/Red and affiliated label releases will be coming out that day
"Rebirth" shows an extreme variety of tunes, some with voice and some instrumental. It's a union of experimental research blended with a solid backbone of melody. Music lovers around the world will want to witness his elegant simplicity to bring the bass instrument to the forefront without losing the rhythm and foundation of the music.
ALBERTO successfully combines rock-prog fusion with hard-rock ambience, creating a blend that suggests a poetic mix that is free from any defined genre yet remains memorable an even catchy.
"Rebirth" features contributions from a number of well-known musicians, including drummers Gavin Harrison (Porcupine Tree, King Krimson) John Macaluso (Ark, TNT, Yngwie Malmsteen), bassists Michael Manring and Yves Carbonne, Swedish singer Jonas Erixon (Alicate), guitarist Tommy Ermolli (Twinspirits) and Simone Mularoni (DGM, Empyrios), keyboard players Federico Solazzo (Alexia), Andrea Pavanello (Centrica), Filippo Lui and Emanuele Casali (DGM, Astra).

Mr Twister Process notes and comments by some of the Worlds Greatest Guitar Players.
Danny John Trio is rolling out the much anticipated, second studio Album "Mr Twister. The music was conceived straight after the release of the first Album "Three days", in mid 2008. After a couple of line up changes, we are finally here.
So, what of Danny John and his Album "Mr Twister"?
Steve Trovato (The Country Jazzmaster): Mr Trovato's students have achieved major success and include Scott Henderson, Frank Gambale, and Norman Brown.
said: Danny, Mr. Twister is very cool.
Huge guitar tone!
I like the way you blend fusion jazz and hard rock. Great playing Steve
Brett Garsed (really needs no introduction): To guitar aficionados he is probably best known for his scintillating instrumental collaborations with US guitarist TJ Helmerich. Their two releases for the now-defunct Legato Records label, Quid Pro Quo & Exempt, are among the most sought-after albums of the genre.
said: Hey Danny great to hear that you have the album in the works. I have such great memories of you, Rafael (Moreira), and Ernst (Ernesto Homeyer), coming in to Open Councelling and ripping everyone's faces off, (including mine)!
A Little about the process and results DJ3 achieved in recording "Mr Twister", an Album, anyone who has heard any music from, either live, or of the board, claims.
"There is simply nothing like this music out there".
Mr Twister was written as a completely collaborative effort between James, Marcos and Danny, which evident in the broad genre bending and crossing "Would". Would starts off poppy, then swing elements are introduced, with the Guitar solo going "Outside", we had nowhere else but Latin to take the song to another level. This was particularly difficult coming from a 6 bar, 6/4 section and segueing into a Clave.
Whole is a trip down Hole Tone memory lane, with a definite American Fusion influence. The Guitar solo there was a one taker.
Predilection and Lighthouse were one take Jams during which Producer/Engineer Luke Webb said, "You guys just went berserk".
Lighthouse features a head that changes key every two beats, (which both Marcos and Dan solo over at around 161 bpm).
There's plenty more to be experienced on this Album, including Massive Driving Rhythms, Insane Drum Solos, as well as beautifully crafted and executed Bass virtuosity, not to mention, too much Gambalesque Sweep Picking.
Mr Twister was recorded from start to finish in 17 hours, laying the Drums and Bass down more or less together Live. All Rhythm Guitars were all doubled and in some cases four Guitar parts were layered. All instrument parts were either one or two take, which is a monumental effort when you consider the title track, "Mr Twister", contains no 4/4, nor does it resolve to 4/4 at any stage.

Ron 'Bumblefoot' Thal on DIY music distribution, Guns N' Roses and more:
As a member of Guns N' Roses, Ron 'Bumblefoot' Thal has spent the better part of two years crisscrossing the globe on the Chinese Democracy tour and playing to packed enormodomes. But, for time being, the New Jersey resident, who has called the city of New Brunswick his home for the past 12 years, is enjoying a bit of normalcy in the Garden State.
"I love living in New Jersey," Thal says. "My life here is so different from what people imagine. It's simple and real, which is what I like. Last night, for instance, I took out the garbage. Then, this morning, my cat kept trying to wake me up. That's just real life. You can still make music and be in a big band and lead a regular existence. I've always been close by, whether it was Staten Island or Brooklyn. The East Coast keeps me grounded. I think it helps the music. I know who I am here."
And more and more, millions of music fans are discovering who Thal is, too - and not just because of his high-profile association with Guns N' Roses, which he joined in 2006. The guitarist, singer, songwriter and producer has issued almost a dozen albums as both Ron Thal and 'Bumblefoot' since 1995. During that time, he's also scored themes for TV shows, written music for sports teams and collaborated with artists as disparate as Dream Theater's Jordan Rudess and Jessica Simpson. "It's all part of being a musician," Thal says. "You do what feels right and sounds right. Pop, rock, metal - I love it all."
This much is clear on the latest batch of recordings Thal is releasing, a song at a time on his website (with Player and Producer Packs available). So far, there's the bracing original Invisible, along with fascinating and inventive takes on classic tunes such as Strawberry Fields Forever, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road and the Four Tops' Bernadette.
In addition, Thal has embarked on a unique way of offering guitar lessons to players around the world via Skype. "I thought I'd get a nice response when I announced what I was doing," says Thal. "But the amount of requests I've received has been overwhelming. I take on all comers. Whether you can play great or you're a total beginner, I'm here to help. more
