Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish”  is a reference to a quote made by Steve Jobs in his 2005 Stanford Commencement Address.  “I found a copy of his speech in my gym locker mysteriously one day around the time I was composing this tune.  I followed through with fate and found the title to my new song.”

Los Angeles, CA - Hot on the heels of winning Prog Magazine’s Limelight Award for being the best new band in progressive rock, Sound of Contact can announce the release of their acclaimed debut album ‘Dimensionaut’ on double vinyl LP on the 2nd December 2013. This will be a limited edition import in the USA and available through

Sound of Contact - Not Coming Down (Full Length Music Video)

Band leader Simon Collins had this to say: "It's a very exciting time for this band, as we bring you another chapter of 'Dimensionaut'. Along with our up and coming release of our second single and music video, 'Pale Blue Dot', we are also delighted to answer many of your requests for a vinyl release by responding with a special limited edition of 'Dimensionaut' on vinyl, which will be available on December 2nd. We are grateful to be part of keeping rock progressive in its true meaning, bringing the future into the presence of now while still staying true to the roots which we have all been so inspired by. Thank you for your votes towards the Limelight Award, words fall short of our appreciation for your love and support and in this case actions speak louder than words. So, this is our way of saying thank you!"

The band is also making the finishing touches to the forthcoming video for new single ‘Pale Blue Dot’ which is once again being directed by Tim Glover who was at the helm for the ‘Not Coming Down’ video. Stay tuned for more information!

A selection of the brilliant media reactions to ‘Dimensionaut’:

‘Eloquent, soulful, modern prog-rock’ – Classic Rock

‘High-concept space-rock, prog dynamics, soaring atmospherics…it’s difficult to imagine any purists arguing against this debut taking its place in the modern prog canon.’ – Prog Magazine

‘A dense, multifaceted and rather special album.’ – Powerplay

‘A unique album to repeatedly savour’ – Classic Rock Society

Owen Edwards: Showdown V All Day Live Music Festival

    Saturday, 16 November 2013
    14:00 until 23:55

The fifth Student Showdown All Day Live Music Festival is returning to Kimbolton for the 2013 show, and it's shaping up to be the best yet! Commencing at 2 p.m., food is available all day, and with licensed bars and hundreds of music fans expected to attend over the course of the event, this FREE ENTRY community event is not to be missed!

Following in the tradition established in 2010, dozens of Owen Edwards Guitar and Bass students will be performing with a crack session backing band music from the 1960's through to the present day.

Witness the Mini Men Of Metal (average age 11 to12) perform their incendiary brand of metal, including classic Metallica and Black Sabbath trax; or maybe the more seasoned charms of Brit Bureau (average age somewhere Far North of 55...) and their Brit tinged renditions of The Who, The Jam and Cream might suit you better...

Whatever your music tastes and whatever your age, a great days entertainment is guaranteed: we look forward to seeing fans from the previous years as well as many new ones.

Any inquiries please contact Owen Edwards directly on 07758 146568 and email
