It includes “Rush In Rio”, “R30”, “Snakes & Arrows Live”, “Time Machine 2011: Live In Cleveland” and “Clockwork Angels Tour” plus a bonus disc of previously unseen and unreleased live material stretching from 1974 to 2013.

That recording includes 2 Rush originals “I've Been Runnin'” and “The Loser”, as well as their cover of Larry Williams' “Bad Boy”, made famous by The Beatles. The bonus discs also features 5 songs from songs from the Capitol Theatre in 1976 such as “Anthem” and “Lakeside Park”, the rarely performed full, 7-part version of “2112” filmed in 1997 in their hometown of Toronto, “Lock and Key” from the Hold Your Fire tour, as well as footage from the glorious evening when Rush fans got their beloved band inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Rush are renowned for the energy and excitement of their live concerts and this set brings together some of their finest performances. The 10 DVD (or 6 Blu-ray) discs are contained in a stunning 52 page hardback book measuring 305mm x 225mm with the 10 discs contained in 5 additional rigid insert pages each holding two discs. Devin Townsend: Project set to release 'Z²'

Devin Townsend Project set to release 'Z²' October 28 via InsideOut New album trailer online now! U.S. Tour Dates with Animals As Leaders start November 17

Following the announcement of the long-awaited new Devin Townsend Project albumZ² and the subsequent lightning-fast sell out of London's prestigious Royal Albert Hall venue for his show on the April 13 next year, they can now reveal an extensive run of European shows for 2015 which will include support from Periphery and Shining. They have already announced US dates with Animals As Leaders. Devin had this to say:

"Now that the recording and mixing for Z2 is finished, it's time to gear up for touring again! There's a bunch of events coming up, and one of them that I'm extremely proud to announce is a European headlining tour with support from the incredible Periphery and the insane Shining!

That's a heck of a line -up I think, each band is doing something unique from each other, yet are really well defined. It will be an opportunity for us to explore our back catalogue as well as the Z2 albums, Sky Blue and Dark Matters (from the upcoming double album, Z2)

One of the greatest things about doing this for as long as I have is that we get to do these sorts of awesome events. I can't even begin to express how honoured I am to share the stage with these incredible bands, and to have such overwhelming support from the audience lately. It's honestly just an absolute pleasure to do this.

So it is with great pride I invite you to the show! Hopefully we come near you, let's do this! Devin =)"

DTP are pleased to reveal a trailer for the Z² album, which will be released on October 27 in both North America and Europe

Gianluca Ferro: Symmetrical Tuning - part 2

Recently I've been experimenting with this symmetrical tuning, similar to the "Cittern 2" so I ended up calling it it "Cittern 3" tuning. From low to high is :
F# C# F# C# F# C# F# . It's very logical and I found out that's also great to visualize scales and arpeggios ...

Ronnie Björnström: Working On Abhorrent Decimation Debut

Aeon Guitarist Ronnie Björnström Working On Debut Abhorrent Decimation Album
Today, London based death metal newcomers Abhorrent Decimation announce they are working with Ronnie Björnström of Enhanced Audio Productions (Garageland Studios, Sweden) on the bands highly anticipated debut album.

Following the success of the bands debut EP 'Infected Celestial Utopia' via Cold Birth Records, numerous shows across the UK including a tour with Hour of Penance and a crushing performance at this years Bloodstock Open Air Festival the band are delighted to share this news.

Vocalist Ashley Scott had this to say on the appointment of Ronnie, “Ronnie is responsible for one my favourite sounding records of all time! The first time I heard Aeon 'Aeons Black', I knew we had to get in touch with Ronnie about the album. I would not settle for anything less. We spent a little time talking about the goal and what we wanted to achieve with this record and it was clear to me that Ronnie was able to give us exactly what we wanted. Our EP was a great start but now is the time to step everything up, material, production, direction – this album has to put our name on the map and we are positive Ronnie is the man for job.”

Ronnie shared these words on the upcoming task ahead of him, “Abhorrent Decimation is a great band. It will be a fun project to work on for sure! We have had close contact to figure what direction we should aim for… It will be a killer album when it’s done. Ashley sent me the demo's, the material was like I expected. Aggressive, punchy and overkill! I had to take a couple of beers after listening to it due to all the brutality in the tracks!”.

Ronnie has created incredible sounding records for the likes of Aeon, Zonaria, Gnawer, Bodyfarm and Persuader to name a few.

Watch 'A Putrid Vision' Taken From 'Infected Celestial Utopia'

The band has attracted the support from many of the big names in the UK press and overseas with support coming in from Metal Hammer, Terrorizer, The Guardian, Team Rock, Total Rock, MetalMouth, PlanetMosh to name a few, the album is set to be a well received Death Metal offering.

"...This band have all the brutality and technical prowess required to make music this extreme detonate with maximum impact, but what they have that many of their peers don't is memorable songs underpinned by huge grooves and an infectious sense of momentum. New song Echoes Of The Vortex suggests that the Londoners' full-length debut will be one of 2015's must-have death metal records... Fucking brilliant, basically..." (Dom Lawson – Metal Hammer)
