Guthrie Govan: rhode island shred plus

This gig took place in the new Auditorium of Peralta (Navarra) Spain. It all started with Jose de Castro a fantastic guitar player from Spain and best guitar fusion 2008. Then after Jose finished, the legendary and amazing Guthrie Govan came into the stage on his own to give a mind-blowing performance with backing tracks of his album Erotic Cakes. There was a lot of sense of humour between songs as you will see on these videos. I recorded part of the whole concert only because I ran out of memory even though I had a 4 Gb memory stick in my camera. I had to take also the hard decision of wiping off Jose de Castro´s fantastic performance to record Guthrie in action and then disaster strikes again and my battery also ran out. That meant that I could not record the two beasts together not to mention the rest of the musicians who were fantastic too.
Without the young minnuendo association this concert would have never been possible. They treated everyone including us fantastically well and my friend the guy with long hair won the prize at the end of the concert an electric guitar signed by the two players, lucky bastard number 265. I remember the number very well. lol
