Playing solos across three backings, he takes expert control of the guitar and lays down three solos each as outstanding as the next. From adept phrasing, masterful touch, and skillful shred, you’ll be able to delve into Max’s world and learn some of his most top drawer licks along the way.
“Groove On”, as played over by Guthrie Govan, is a classic JTC backing and a fan favourite. Max reinvents it by juxtaposing melodic and emotive lines in places with ferocious and devilishly fast phrases.
“Joker” sits into the groove, allowing melodies to pan out and repeat, all the while injecting each phrase with lightning fast hybrid picking, legato and super clean sweep picking. Explore outside sounding lines as well as strong melodic phrases.
“Promenade” drives home pentatonic licks to die for, as well as liquid legato passages and mind boggling motivic melodies. All delivered in his virtuoso style.
Each solo comes with selected slow licks, so you can isolate the more advanced sections and really dig deep into what’s happening.
