News: the originator of the name of stratocaster passes away

Kudos to the Mad Stratter:
Don Randall, the marketing genius behind Leo Fender’s company, passed away three weeks ago, on December 23rd 2008, at the ripe old age of 91.
Referencing his experience as a pilot, Mr. Randall coined the name “Stratocaster”
