UGO.com: You have a new signature series Fender Stratocaster coming out.
Yngwie Malmsteen: They made my guitar for like 20 years – the Malmsteen Signature model. That’s changed through the years – the headstock is different. So the latest one is really good – it’s the one that I’m using for almost everything I do now. It’s got a revised neck that is scalloped. But they’re also going to do a ‘tribute guitar,’ which is an exact copy of what they call the ‘play loud’ guitar [due to a tiny sticker on the guitar’s body, that says…’play loud’]. The scratches are the same [on the guitar that it’s modeled after] – that’s all I brought with me from Sweden when I was just a kid. It’s amazing that they did that.
