  1. I was looking at your site, seeing what your instrument has to offer. I am sorely disappointed with your use of, and then blatant attack of the Chapman Stick tuning. Not only is it petty mudslinging, but the 'sermon' that was written is ultimately close-minded conservatism in it's finest form, much akin to the Pessimists of the industrial revolution era. The biggest flaw in the argument of 4ths vs. 5ths is one of perspective. There is an old addage, 'one language, one window.'

Similarly in music, one instrument, one viewpoint. The mixed tuning of the Stick allows for a subtle blend of two ideas coming together (for example a piccolo cello in the bass, and a guitar in the treble), giving one instrument multiple musical perspectives, and therefore more musical enlightenment. It's the same reason why jazz guitarists learn horn solos, and jazz pianists learn guitar solos. They can see music in a different light.
The mental model argument from the sermon is also a total joke. Any idiot that knows music at all knows that 5ths are just 4ths reversed, so all guitar models would then just be flipped for the bass strings.

But then, you only ever speak of the Megatar as a bass/guitar tap combo, rather than a new and truly unique instrument, and so it will remain the layman's tap guitar.
