Eastwood Guitars introduces the new Warren Ellis Signature Tenor guitar
After 12 months of collaboration between Eastwood Guitars and multi-instrumentalist Warren Ellis (The Dirty Three, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Grinderman) the new Eastwood Tenor Guitar is ready for release. This is the fourth in a series of uniquely new stringed instruments from Eastwood Guitars which include the Airline FOLKSTAR Resonator, the Airline UKULELE and the Airline MANDOLA.

Current players like Neko Case and Ani DiFranco have helped to bring back the popularity and distinctive sound of the 23” scale four stringed tenor guitars. The Warren Ellis Signature Electric Tenor Guitar features a solid alder body and a bolt-on maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, a custom single coil blade pickup with volume and tone controls. The initial limited release is available only in Vintage Cream with Tortoiseshell pickguard with chrome hardware. The Tenor is tuned in fifths (CGDA low-to-high) similar to a tenor banjo but can also be tuned in Chicago tuning (DBGE) or in open tuning for slide.

"After a chance meeting with Warren Ellis and Nick Cave at the ATP New York Festival last September," said Mike Robinson, President and founder of Eastwood Guitars, "it became obvious that there was a market for these types of instruments. So we enlisted Warren’s string sensibility to help create the ultimate electric Tenor Guitar and Warren has given this model his signature of approval."
