Thorsten Koehne, Jay Parmar: Edens Curse five star gig

Just got back from Cheltenham after the Edens Curse gig. I was lucky enough to catch up with Jay Parmar before the show and had planned to meet the band after the show, but Shred Medium and his friend were tired so we headed out before the end. So apologies to Jay and the rest of the band for splitting early, to head back on our hour plus drive.

The gig featured 3 bands, but the real stars of the show are the headliners. These guys know how to bang out top quality melodic rock. The band is blessed with Michael Eden's melodic vocals and three harmony backing singers that really give the songs a real zing.

Plus the new keyboard player, Alessando Del Vecchio, gets to shine on a couple of solos and backs this up with his excellent backing vocals. Shred Medium and his friend were well impressed and went home with the obligatory tour Tshirt and the tour CD.... needless to say my brother could not help himself and snaffled the entire back catalogue of the band!!!

The twin guitar attack looks great with Jay playing a reverse headstock guitar and Thorsten playing a Dean Dimbag guitar with the high strings on the top. Boy can that Thorsten Koehne solo, infectiously melodic, top quality solos, the stuff that would make any guitar fan salivate! I did get some video, which I still need to review, but my video recorder was playing up through out, making it almost impossible to video.
