2013 SUMMER NAMM MEDIA INVITATION

SAVE THE DATE! This July, the 2013 Summer NAMM Show will have a new home – the beautiful, state-of-the-art Music City Center, only steps away from Ryman Auditorium and “Honky Tonk Row” on Broadway, and directly across the street from the Country Music Hall of Fame! The National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) invites you to attend and cover NAMM’s annual summer gathering of the music products industry. One of the largest music instruments and products trade shows in the country, Summer NAMM will take place Thursday through Saturday, July 11-13, 2013. Don’t miss Summer NAMM inside its new home, a 16-acre magnificently-designed venue set in the heart of Music City.

Online registration opens April 30. We will send the “by invitation only” registration link soon. Submitting a pre-registration media request form does not guarantee press credentials. Registrants must meet NAMM’s definition of “media” before receiving approval.

On Friday, July 12, NAMM will present its third annual original awards show, “The Top 100 Dealer Awards,” dubbed the “Oscars of retail.” The prestigious “Dealer of the Year” Award will be given, along with awards to winners in 7 "Best Of" categories. Following the show, and also being held in conjunction withSummer NAMM, will be the Muriel Anderson All-Star Guitar Night, beginning at 7:30p.m.

NAMM’s consumer “Public Day” is back and set for Saturday, July 13. Professional and amateur musicians, students, parents, music advocates and enthusiasts will converge on Music City Center for an experience they can’t find anywhere on the planet! They’ll experience live NAMM demonstrations, autograph sessions with famous musicians, a peek at the latest music products, live performances and valuable workshops & clinics taught by respected professionals. Saturday’s “Public Day” hours are 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. and the cost is only $10 in advance and $20 at the door.

On display at Summer NAMM will be newest musical instruments and state-of-the-art technologies now available and soon-to-be offered through retailers worldwide for the fall and holiday seasons. Hundreds of exhibits from leading music products companies - the latest guitars, mandolins, banjos, amps, keyboards, drums and accessories and music/tech software will be showcased.

After July 12, 2013, only on-site media registration will be available.
To register on-site at the Nashville Convention Center, media need to bring a photo ID, business card and a letter of assignment from the editor to the Media Registration desk during on-site media registration hours.
