I've always loved this sonata and I wanted to do a nice and interesting cover of it which is a hard task because it's very easy to ruin such a genius composition by adding an instrument to it. I decided to approach the guitar with fingers instead of pick in order to maintain a softer attack which I find more suitable for this piece. I also used a lot of volume control to achieve the proper sound for each moment.
I used my custom 8-string guitar, equipped with EMG 57-8H/66-8H, a Kahler 2232 tremolo and D'addario EXL120-8 strings (
