News: Magneto Velvet Guitar

Kelcey Alonzo: The new Magneto Velvet Guitar. This new model was part of the plan since the very beginning as Magneto always wanted to offer 24 3/4 scale, set-neck guitar in the Magneto guitar program. Main reason was to have one instrument that would address the more rock oriented player.

As with their existing models, they worked a lot on the weight and mass of the body in order to emphasize the midrange frequency spectrum. The Velvet produces a tight, midrange focused tone. Magneto would describe it as being more hollow and SG inspired when compared to a LP as an example.

The Body of the Velvet is made of 1 piece Mahogany with a 10mm 2-piece carved maple top, neck is mahogany with Indian rosewood fingerboard, the headstock has a 17° angle. Both body and neck have binding. Perloid fingerboard and headstock inlays.

All hardware and tuners are made for Magneto Guitars by Gotoh, the pickups are Lollar Imperial Humbuckers.
Jumbo frets, CTS pots, CRL switch, Switchraft Output Jack.
Of course, the guitar is all handmade.

Hand rubbed oil-wax finish. Colors we will offer are: Black Oil (as Picture), Brown oil, Dark Red Oil

Delivery time for the first models will be end of February 2012.
