Nothing more than a coincidental meeting...just noticed I was the 7777 person to read Robberts profile...spooky! (for those that believe that the number 7 has a magical quality)

19-05-2007:
Hey great news from Robbert Hanenberg, he says:
I got a lot of emails/messages from guitarists with questions about my cd and some available instructional stuff. So for those who are interested there's some good news! At this moment I'm working on an instructional DVD which will be released in Sept 2007. It will feature a lot of (extreme)tapping techniques + arpeggio-stuff and I'll explain how to use this in a melodic way. There also will be a chapter about how to improve your "vibrato" and "phrasing"and playing "syncopic arpeggios". Also there will be an extra chapter about "creating a fluid tone" and "how to play your leads as clean as possible".
...start saving!

Sorry no news at the moment...but just take the time to check out why any CD release from Robbert will be on you shopping list.

Robbert Hanenberg posted some video: Demonstration of some arpeggio (tapping)techniques. Compilation of some older and newer stuff.

Link: Demo.wmv
Track 1: Solo over Malmsteen's Angel
Track 2: Solo over a bluesy/funky backingtrack. bluesy/funky
Track 3: Tony Macalpine cover. There were some faults in the chord progression of the backingtrack so Robbert only recorded the first part of the solo. Tears Of Sahara

03-10-2006:
While we wait for his solo release theere is just time to listen to another nice jam over a Gambale BT

Robbert Hanenberg reposted his 2 solo's over a 'Tears Of Sahara' BT.
First solo is his own version, 2nd solo is a cover of the original solo.
There was something wrong with the chord progression of the BT in the solo part so the recording is not complete:

New Link found: check out Robert Jamming with "Paul Gilbert" on GuitarHeroes.com

Background:
Robbert Hanenberg began playing guitar at a an early age. He has also started including two handed playing as his technique improved.

His early influences are mostly from Mike Varneys Shrapnel stable. He incorporated a lot of the arpeggios ideas from these players but also extended his own two hand tapping style. His style has also be heavily influenced by listening to piano and keyboard arpeggio constructs.

This includes: Tony MacAlpine, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Richie Kotzen, Vinnie Moore, Steve Lukather, Greg Howe, Jason Becker, Nuno Bettencourt, Brett Garsed, Yngwie Malmsteen, Joey Tafolla, Fredrick Chopin, JS Bach, Nicolo Paganini, Allan Holdsworth, Andy Timmons, Stephen Ross, Todd Duane, Scott Mishoe, Darren Housholder, Paul Gilbert, George Lynch, Dan Huff and Martin Landau.

He has been playing as a professional musician for 12 years and doe a lot of session workfor Dutch artists.

He came to my attention when he won the prized George Bellas jam track competition. Also his playing on the particularly fine tribute to Dimebag. The tribute features Chris Brooks.
