Steve Vai: The Big Mama-Jama Jamathon

Steve Vai The Big Mama-Jama Jamathon

Steve Vai is an undisputed guitar god. Even with a North American Tour as part of supergroup Generation Axe looming, the legendary guitarist has made time to bring a long-time aspiration to fruition. On September 28th, Steve Vai will be kicking off 'The Big Mama-Jama Jamathon' — a 52-hour jam-session open to the public that will feature a flurry of special guests as part of the lineup.

The event will be taking place at Musicians Institute brand new venue, LiveHouse, in Los Angeles, and will feature appearances by Dave Navarro, Moby, Dweezil Zappa, Al Di Meola, Steve Morse, and more to be announced, as well as performances from visual artists, poets, speakers and other creative performers.

On top of that, it's all for a good cause. One-hundred percent of the profits raised will benefit Extraordinary Families, a leading nonprofit foster family and adoption agency dedicated to improving the daily lives of children and youths in foster care.

Once this special event has ended, fans will be able to enjoy each note of the three-day jam with digital and physical copies of the session. Also available are CD and vinyl copies signed by Steve himself. In addition to the music, grab merch from the event, signed Ibanez guitars, experiences with Steve, and much more.
