This Studio Elite HD from our friends at James Tyler is an absolute sonic monster! Overall, it has a dynamic, touch-sensitive attack, and an airy, brilliant high-end. The neck pickup is a warm, sweet-sounding vintage-style humbucker with deep bass response that reminds me of an old ES-339! The single-coil in the middle position has an SRV-style response with a broad, strident midrange and a little quack in the top-end. The bridge humbucker is more aggressive, with tight, articulate lows and some nice note bloom in the highs--it sort of sounds like a brighter version of Alex Lifeson's tone on those early Rush records. Anyone seeking a versatile HSH James Tyler will love this serial!
