He's still here yes that's right he never went away! This from Bob:

"Well, first of all: of coooourse i`m still playing guitar ;-)

The thing is, I "forgot" to pay the bills for 6 months for my website so they shut it down and some guy from washington D.C. "stole"/bought it.

He then wanted to sell it to me being convinced the domain is f**king important to me...well, but it isn´t...just bought myself another one.

www.bobzabek.net

Soon it will be online again, I´m also trying to find someone to make it look more professional as I did the layout myself and well, don´t really dig it anymore.

So, I hope to see you soon there on www.bobzabek.net, checking out new videos and stuff(will take me some more time but it will happen).

By the time the site will be online I of course will post threads so people will find the new address.

Peace and thx bob"

So hopefully all those cool videos' and mp3s' will be back for good and a new CD will be on the way...more later.

Bob Zabeks' web site has gone walkabout, did he forget to renew his domain name?! Rest assured should it return, then links will start working again. I nthe mean time here's a Zabek search from those nice people at www.google.com.

Background:
Bob Zabek is half Polish and half Austrian and was born in Wels Austria.

His prodigeous talent and desire to play lead guitar lead to him winning 1st prize on a radio "Jimi Hendrix" contest at the age of 14. He subsequently won 1 st prize in the "Blues Brothers 2000" contest winning a couple of Fender Stratocaster's.

Leaving school early, he studied at Rotterdam´s Hogeschool Voor Muziek en Dans . Bob focused on playing guitar and 2 handed tapping. His skills earned him a scholarship for Berklee College of Music in 2003.

He is now living back in Vienna writing, composing, arranging and recording his unique high quality music.

Check out his awesome technique via videos on his web site and see what I mean. If you're impressed you will no doubt want to order his CD .... but you'll have to wait until it is ready as it is still in production.

Comments

  1. I have to say, this guy is absolutely incredible. check out his site. After seeing the videos on his site I was completely blown away. To me his playing is nothing short of inspirational and certainly redifined my perspective of the guitar as a more rhythmically engaging instrument. His sense of melody and use of effects is staggering also. definately worth a look to anyone interested in taking the guitar in a new direction.
