Background:
Marcello Zappatore, been born in Lecce Italy, in 1976. He started playing guitar at the age 13. His initial influence was the Beatles and Jimi Hendrix. He taught himself by listening to and transcribing and watching videos of his favourite music. In 1997 in was blown away by Frank Gambale picking up on his Jazz Fusion palying. From there he got into more Jazz and improvisation like Charlie Parker. He then got into players like Steve Vai and Ron Thal.

In November 2003 Marcello Zappatore undertook some seminars with Garsed.
