Ricky Furlani: escondendo o bolo

Background:
Ricky Furlani first musical inspiration came from winning a siitar at a local fayre at the age of ten. He was later inspired by seeing the late Jimi Hendrix in the movie "Woodstock" at the tender age of twelve.

He undertook ten years of guitar lessons and private study in São Paulo. In 1995 he attended the Guitar Institute of Technology at the Musicians Institute in Los Angeles, and graduating. Since then Furlani has taught in several music schools throughout Brazil, with a place of honor in EM&T, the largest music school in all of Latin America.

His main influences are Jeff Beck, Carlos Santana and Joe Satriani.

Ricky Furlani also shares his talent and love of the guitar as a columnist of Cover Guitarra (a monthly national publication in Brazil) for the past four years, endorsed by Ronay Custom Guitars, NIG strings and Sto Angelo Cables, Ricky has just released his second CD, entitled “Talking”.
