Wrapping up the Jazz Raj album with Jonas Hellborg in Markneukirchen, Germany, using the fabulous Studer A800 2 inch tape recorder and mixed down to one of very few existing 1 inch, two-track Studer A80 machines. Analogue is beautiful. Oh boy, it is.
Jazz Raj, also featuring the stunning Ranjit Barot on drums besides Jonas and yours truly, will be released late this year through Bardo Music before taking it on the road in 2014. Two demanding, rewarding pieces of music, +30 minutes each. Not for the squeamish. Stay tuned.
