Keven Eknes: review of the year 2014

Keven Eknes

HAPPY NEW YEAR! 2014 has been really interesting, challenging but also fun! I've been fortunate enough to be working full-time with music: freelance and teaching for the first half of the year. I've also had huge ups with my own music; been offered scholarships and music awards covering full-tuition expenses for going to Berklee College of Music to study music performance where I enrolled this fall. Here I have met so many crazy-ass musicians who have inspired me so much! Having one year more exciting than the other, I hope this musical uphill still continues for 2015. I really appreciate all the new friendships I've gotten through the year, as well as old ones, you're all so awesome!!! I wish you all the best for the new year and hope you have the best one so far!!

The piece below is a rough demo of one of my new tunes, recorded by the recording ensemble I was in at Berklee. To mention the great guys performing along with me: Maher Beauroy - Piano, Jonathan Elyashiv - Bass, Pedro Calloni - Drums. You might find a more refined version of this tune sometime later, who knows. If you wanna stay updated, make sure you follow my music page at: Keven Eknes.
