The ultimate goal is for any social website to be able to implement the APIs and host 3rd party social applications. what does that mean for you...well when it's in place applications and knowledge sharing can easily be developed and integrated into social applications like myspace and youtube without rewriting... the futures very bright... you won't be writing it either, you'll just be dragging and dropping social components onto your web page.
