1. I went to see Tony MacAlpine in London and then drove home the wrong way... went 40 miles in the wrong direction, then got flashed by a speed camera... but not to get a speeding ticket!

2. I went to see Yngwie Malmsteen in 1984 and some of the crowd thought it was a secret Bruce Springsteen show

3. I went up to London to see Joe Satriani's first ever show in the UK, having waited all day, I was stopped from entering as the show was full up when they got to me... yes I wish I had been one place further up!

4. I once buried a whole bunch of plastic toy soldiers in the back garden of my parents house never to be found again...

5. I went to see Vinnie Moore on the Alice Cooper tour only to find out at the show that he decided not to tour Europe!

6. I went to see Vinnie Moore at the London guitar show only to find out I went on the wrong day... Geoff Whitehorn will have to do!

7. I went to see Shawn Lane with the CEO of legato records, Matt Williams... Shawn signed all our stuff and invited us for a curry... but I had to go home because I had a masters exam the following day!

I’m tagging Truth In Shredding, Guitar Player Daily, I Heart Guitar, Random Chatter Music, Strat O Blogster, Guitar Player Zen and The Guitar Channel apologies if any of you have already done this and I missed it, just ignore me.

  2. I had a similar experience when I was 18... I could have seen Pink Floyd "The Wall" live at Earls Court London... or do a Chemistry exam... in this case, I think flunk the exam would have been a better option... I got an MSc with distinction so it was worth it longer term and now I have the thought of what might have been to look back on!
