Also used for Film and Television both in Europe and The United States with Pat Metheny selecting grooves from a sample CD called Rhythm of Life by Miles Bould & Danny Cummings released 1994. Miles & Scott’s love of Jazz related music and African rhythms have been brought together in this album Evolution. The Album’s sound encompasses many of the influences which helped shape their taste in music. Words from “JOE ZAWINUL: A MUSICAL PORTRAIT” a documentary by Mark Kidel are included on Usonic track Legacy which is what this album is: the Legacy begun by the Greats in Jazz; Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie, Charlie Parker, John Coltrane, Art Blakely, Tony Williams etc. who influenced artists such as Weather Report, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock, Yellow Jackets, Steps Ahead, Michael Breaker, John Scofield and so many others who have contributed so much in keeping Jazz improvisational music alive.

Usonic are part of the current new generation and have called the album Evolution as the genre itself has evolved into a modern expression of influences from around the world that exists in this genre today

An album with it's main focus on strong melody, inspired soloing and most important of all groove, this is an album not to missed and will please the most ardent admirer of Jazz Fusion.
