The AIR Weekender
A Masterclass in Recording Guitars
26-27 November 2011

The chance to spend a weekend at a legendary studio learning how to record guitars from guys who have worked with Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden, The Rolling Stones and Sir George Martin doesn't come along often. So if you're serious about making your recordings better than they've ever been, you won't want to miss the AIR Weekender.

Presented by world-renowned producer Tony Platt (Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Iron Maiden), AIR Studios' engineer Rupert Coulson (Rolling Stones, William Orbit, Sir George Martin) and guest lecturer Professor Dave Fisher (former Director of Tonmeister Studies at the University of Surrey), the masterclass will cover electric, acoustic, classical and bass guitar recording techniques.

The guitar recording masterclass is designed for guitarists and anyone with an interest in sound recording or music production. You'll gain a thorough insight into the techniques, skills and processes required to obtain professional, studio-quality guitar recordings.

The weekend course, held at Lyndhurst Hall, Hampstead, London will feature performances, demonstrations and Q&A sessions with three legendary guitarists, including:

• Phil Manzanera (Roxy Music, David Gilmour, Brian Eno)
• Elliott Randall (Steely Dan, Carly Simon, Eddie Kramer)
