Mike Blackburn: Although there is a lot of use of tapping and legato techniques throughout, the first player that comes to mind when listening to Don is Steve Morse, something in the phrasing and attack. Compositionally and tonally there are nods to Eric Johnson and Brett Garsed, yes the album is that good.

At the end of the day, an instrumental album is only as good as its ability to sing, and sing this does, Don’s amazing grasp of different techniques make the ride an enjoyable one indeed, highly recommended.
