Tony MacAlpine: It’s has been greatly disappointing for me, as this was the first time in my many years of professional music work that i have ever had to make such a tough decision. For me, playing is a necessary element of my daily life and function, and as discouraging as this has been for me, I am aware that it has truly been a very hard situation for my colleagues and professional associates to experience also.
We never really know why things happen to us in our lives and what reasons they happen for – at least not right away, but I am always in search of what lessons we are constantly being taught, and have learned to accept things as they are.
