Rick Beato has been a good friend of mine for a number of years and he has never ceased to inspire me. It's not his music theory knowledge, nor the many disciplines that he has mastered that moves me. What I find so impressive is his ability to accomplish his goals. It's not only impressive, but INSPIRATIONAL. In our many conversations we have breached the topic of "competition in music." It's a concept that so many people are afraid to admit they partake in, as though to somehow not acknowledge that they are not only feeling competitive, but also acting on it.
