One of my big goals for 2021 is to take my production and songwriting chops to the next level....
I've decided that in order to do that and also keep myself accountable, I'm going to release one new song every month for the year(not counting anything I release with @etheriusband).
Here is the second song I'm releasing in 2021, called "Zero Sum Game."
Zero-sum is defined as a situation in game theory in which one person’s gain is equivalent to another’s loss, so the net change in wealth or benefit is zero. I thought this was an appropriate title given the recent events occuring with the stock market.
All guitars and bass were recorded by me. Drums were programmed by me with Toontrack Superior Drummer 2 and I used the Metal Machine expansion pack for drum sounds.
For tones I tracked rhythm guitars with my 6 string Black Cherry Kiesel Aries loaded with Kiesel Litium pickups and tuned to C# standard.. I used a combination of tones I created in the Axe Fx II based on the Engl Savage 120 and a 5150. For lead tones I used my Blue Kiesel Aries 7 string loaded with Guitarmory pickups.
All mixing and mastering was done by me with plug ins from Toontrack EZ Mix 2.
