I thought I was crazy after writing this solo. This section of the song involves polyrhythm, interchanging among 6/8, 2/8 & 4/8 times while the cymbals play 3/4. It’s difficult catching the downbeat and writing licks that fit multiple time signatures (including fast runs as well!). Certainly challenging!
