Ty Oliver's new CD is entitled Heartstrings, and features ten new instrumental compositions. Heartstrings features guest solos by some of my Oliver's favorite players on the track "Space Jam" - Matt Cafissi, Neil Rambaldi, and Matt Sotelo.
The new songs also feature current and past live band members, and are a much more accurate reflection of Oliver's playing today, as opposed to "Healed Through Time" which was mostly written and recorded previous to 2003. Inspired by Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, and other instrumental guitar greats, as well as late '80s and early '90s "pop" metal shredders.
